Fox Transport packs and/or crates everything from household goods through fine art to industrial goods and small shipments.
Household goods are packed in cartons or recycled plastic bins with bubble wrap, packing paper, tape and labeled by room at destination.
Fine Art is packed and/or crated according to its fragility, value (personal or monetary), expected handling method, distance to destination and protection from humidity and temperature variations, as required.
Fragile high value items such as machinery and equipment are secured and stabilized on a crate base, shrink-wrapped, and crated. Weight, dimensions, and stability are assessed to ensure safe transport.
We also pack and crate smaller shipments of personal and commercial goods that are too small to fill much of a trailer or overseas container (LTL and LCL) but beyond the size of a courier or mail package. When packed and crated appropriately these shipments can be shipped economically in consolidated trailers and containers.
Fox Transport ships via all modes of transport. We manage rate negotiations, booking, logistics, documentation, customs clearance assistance, proof of delivery and invoicing to simplify the process for our customers.
Trucking: As a transportation broker we have business connections with trucking services locally, across Canada, and between Canada, USA and Mexico. We can find you the best rates and manage your shipment from start to finish.
Air Cargo: We are connected to a worldwide network of air cargo agents. Whether your shipment is required ‘yesterday’ or in three to five business days, we can find the best rates. We also help to advise our customers on shipment handling and packing to minimize costs. Air shipments to and from Canada are quoted in Canadian Funds. We can provide airport to airport or door to door services.
Ocean Freight: Our services include smaller loads (LCL), container consolidations, full container loads, bulk shipments, and motorized (roro) cargo. We shop and negotiate with the ocean shipping lines that service our customer’s shipping corridor to get the best rates and transit times. We can co-ordinate shipments from port to port or door to door. We can also co-ordinate container stuffing and de-stuffing services, warehousing and delivery. This includes household goods, commercial goods and packaged commodities such as lumber, bagged aggregates, and seeds.
Freight Insurance: We can provide transportation insurance via an independent worldwide freight insurance company.
Fox Transport Canada specializes in full service moves - local, long distance and international.
